Max Facs Oral Surgery

Dental Extraction

We can provide patients with safe and efficient surgical solutions.

Why get one?

Sometimes it can be difficult to extract other teeth due to infection, or because the crown of the tooth has come away and the roots have been left behind, under the gum, causing pain and discomfort. Sometimes patients just feel too anxious, and we can help with that too.

We can offer more choice for anaesthesia, including local anaesthetic, IV sedation, and in some cases general anaesthesia.

David is experienced and skilled in extracting difficult teeth, this means surgical extractions are generally much quicker and more comfortable for patients.

We offer free post op appointments to those that need it, and we always ring to check on how people are doing after their extraction.

We’re here to address your needs and provide the highest level of care possible

Dental extractions are typically straightforward procedures, unless we’re considering future implant placement. In such cases, the extraction may require longer surgery to ensure proper bone preservation or grafting.

Anxiety levels and the complexity of the procedure can also influence the patient’s decision regarding sedation. This is particularly common when the tooth is situated near critical anatomical structures, such as the nerve responsible for sensation (not movement) in the lip and chin, or the maxillary sinus—a hollow, air-filled space above the upper teeth connected to the nasal passageway.

In situations where there’s heightened anxiety or the proximity to sensitive structures warrants it, patients often opt for intravenous sedation to enhance comfort and relaxation during the procedure.

Our team is dedicated to ensuring your safety and comfort throughout every stage of the process. Should you have any concerns or questions regarding your upcoming dental extraction, please feel free to discuss them with us.
